This is a rare Plains pipe handcrafted from a very unusual colored piece of carving stone.
This is a type of stone that holds up to heat very well so it will make a wonderful little personal pipe for someone.
The pipe bowl is app 3″ long and it stands app 2″ tall. When the bowl is connected to the redwood stem, the total length will be app 11-3/4″ long. This rare plains pipe will make a very nice personal or ceremonial pipe for someone. All of our pipes come standard with a beaded California Redwood Stem unless otherwise noted. This Plains pipe does however come with an option to upgrade the stem to a hardwood stem. Ash, Black Walnut, Cherry and Aromatic Cedar stems are all available as an upgrade.
This pipe was made by Darwin Wallenburg. Darwin is an accomplished pipemaker who lived in the Pipestone, MN area for many years. He learned to make pipes from his mentor: Little Feather. The pipe will be signed by the artist upon request. Just leave us a note on the order form when you check out.
If you’d like to see more rare and original pipes crafted by the same pipemaker who made this one, check out the Ceremonial Pipes album on the Lakota Creations Facebook Page.
