This beautiful beaded medallion necklace was created by Lakota Artist Darrell Young, who is enrolled at the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. The medallion itself is 3-1/2″ in diameter. Trailing from the bottom are three 3-1/2″ long feathers. The center of the medallion features a morning star in the center, surrounded by feathers. The morning star symbolizes hope and guidance. It is the brightest star in the sky at dawn. The Great Plains Indians honor the morning star as a sign of courage and purity of spirit. In our opinion, this is the most beautiful of our Medallion necklaces and it won’t last long.
