Rare Multi-Colored Pipestone for Making Your Own Pipe or Carving

This is a very nice piece of rare multi-colored pipestone that would be suitable to make a ceremonial Elbow, Plains, or effigy style pipe out of.
After this stone is covered with beeswax and polished with a rag, it will be a very nice shine…and you can see the colors that will be in the pipe if you look at the photo, because I wet the stone down before I took as picture of it.
This type of pipestone is very enjoyable to work with and you never know for sure what kind of colors you’re going to run into while carving it.
This stone will be comparable to the high quality black pipestone, if you’ve had the opportunity to work with that.
One of the nice things about this stone is that you will end up with a pipe that will be different than anyone you know. The colors can vary greatly from piece to piece.
This piece measures app 6-1/2″ x 3″. The stone is 1-1/8″ thick.
It is a very nice type of carving stone and you are sure to be pleased with it.
