This bag is absolutely gorgeous! It’s a very large bag made with genuine brain tan leather. The storage part of the bag itself is 20″ long. The fringes also hang down app 20″. The bag is app 6″ wide. This bag would be perfect for one of our many pipe bowls that is mated with a 18-21″ stem. The bag has a full 8″ x 6″ section beaded on both the front and back of the bag. Beadwork also goes up the entire side of the bag, on both sides, and around the flap. It has a drawstring pull on it to close the bag good. The quill work on the bag is done at the top of the fringes and covers a 5-1/2″ x 6″ section.
Everything on this bag is top notch quality work! It’s a super nice bag! It’s an excellent museum quality piece and would make a great show piece.
It’s also very functional and if you decide to use the bag, there will be plenty of room in this bag for your can’sa’sa or other medicines, in addition to your canupa and stem.
The beadwork is done by using a lazy stitch. Everything is super nice and tight.
This is a brand new pipebag made and beaded by a Lakota Sioux from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
