Description
This is a very fancy Steatite or Black Pipestone ceremonial eagle claw pipe. Black Pipestone or Steatite is a material that holds up to heat very well. It is an ideal material to use for pipes.
The pipe bowl is app 5-3/4″ long and it stands app 2-1/2″ tall. The curved and hand-carved sumac stem is 19″ long. It has been oiled to show off the natural wood grain. If you would like the stem beaded, we can do that for you for a small additional charge. The entire length of the pipe when the stem is inserted will be app 23-3/4″.
The craftsmanship on this pipe bowl is outstanding. It has very fine features and is extremely detailed.
The pipe is symbolic of the mother eagle claw protecting her egg. It represents the ongoing circle of life.
This pipe will make a very nice ceremonial pipe for someone.
If you would like the pipe signed, simply ask for it on the order form. You will see a little spot where you can leave us a ‘note’.
