Black Pipestone or Steatite (6″ x 4″ x 1-3/4″ Thick)

This is a very nice piece of Black Pipestone or Steatite that would be suitable to make a few personal pipes out of…or maybe 1 or 2 nice ceremonial sized pipe.
After this stone is covered with beeswax and polished with a rag, it will be a very nice dark black color.
The black stone that we are selling is the best we’ve ever had the privilege to work with. There are no hard spots in it. It is soft enough to easily carve, yet hard enough to hold great detail…and it will shine up great!
This stone will be comparable to the high quality red pipestone, if you’ve had the opportunity to work with that. One of the nice things about this stone is that it’s about 1/2 the price of the Sacred red Pipestone.

This is a nice rectangular piece.   It measures app 6″ x 4″ and is 1-3/4″ thick.
