Here we have 5 smaller pieces of high quality sacred catlinite that would work great to make some smaller personal pipes.
This type of stone is very sought after…because it is the perfect material to make ceremonial pipes out of.  It holds up super to heat!
The largest piece is app 7-1/2″ long . The smallest piece is app 3″ x 2-1/4″ tall.  The pieces vary in thickness from 1″ to 1-3/4″.  This stone was quarried by hand at the Pipestone National Monument.
It is the premier carving stone… It’s soft enough to easily work, but it’s hard enough that it will hold great detail.
This type of stone doesn’t often come up for sale, because people who quarry are also pipemakers and they generally save the pipe material to use themselves.
